Monty L. Greek

Monty has litigated a wide variety of complex commercial cases in state and federal courts. He has substantial experience representing clients in real-estate disputes, including commercial-lease matters and real-estate fraud cases. Monty has litigated numerous corporate-governance matters, including successfully defending LLC member-managers against breach-of-fiduciary-duty claims. Monty has also represented several construction clients in litigation involving construction contracts, additional-work claims, construction defects, mechanic’s liens, payment and performance bonds, insurance coverage, and complaints before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.

Monty was previously a partner at Morrison & Hecker LLP, where in 2001 he represented a national automobile dealership in a three-week real-estate fraud trial that resulted in a jury verdict of $28.6 million in favor of the firm’s client and successfully represented a permanent lender, through trial and post-trial motions, on a claim that a construction lender wrongfully induced a $10 million loan to the developer of the Mercado in downtown Phoenix.
